Orchards Walk
A Place to Call Home

History of Orchards Walk

Orchards Walk is an area steeped in history and tradition. In the early 1900s, Kamloops was known as an "Agricultural Eden" and the land where the Orchards Walk development sits was once an apple orchard. Apples in Kamloops were renowned for their sweetness as they were found to have higher sugar content than those produced in the Okanagan, due in part to lower nighttime temperatures in the area. Today, the development continues to grow and thrive providing a sweet lifestyle for the families and couples who call Orchards Walk home. Hearken back to the area’s history as you drive down Grand Boulevard or walk the neighbourhood streets named after the fruit grown here years ago.
